Welcome to the crazy wonderful world of “Cake”. We are an independent cake maker in the gorgeous historic roman city of Chester. We “Turn imagination into icing” and create fun colourful cakes for all occasions
We are a little crazy and we love to express our visions in our cakes. We bake all our own cakes, cupcakes and other goodies.
Our lovely cake shop is situated at the end of Bridge Street row 100 yards from the junction joining lower Bridge Street and Bridge street. Our neighbours include Sick to Death, Nando’s and Jaunty Goat.
Not only can you pop in and watch your cake take shape, why not Cakeaway and enjoy our cakes at home!

Greg– Hey folks I am Greg, and I am the owner of Cake Chester. I oversee the consultations that we have for our amazing cakes. I also bake the cakes for our guests and our clients. Lottie– Hey everyone! My name is Lottie, and I am the Cake decorator Team Leader here at Cake Chester. I have a huge passion for ensuring all our cakes are jaw dropping and my team of highly skilled cake decorators are at your disposal to ensure we can make you that special cake for that special someone. Let’s meet the gang….
Caroline– Hello I’m Caroline, and I specialise in fondant cakes and detailed modelling. We make models of people, vehicles and much more – we literally turn imagination into Icing, and I can’t wait to find out what I’m making next. We love a challenge, so I’m excited to see what you have in store for us.
Mia– Hey cake lovers. My name is Mia, and I specialise in both fondant and buttercream cakes. If you need any models making, I can help with that too!
I am a qualified cake and pastry decorator, and I look forward to making your next cake.

Our cakes have travelled all over the UK and some have travelled to destinations such as France, Spain, Switzerland, and South America. We have also done commissioned cakes for celebs, to name a few – footballer Michael Owen, TV celebrity Jay Hutton from Channel 4’s Tattoo Fixers, members of Parliament William Hague and Tony Blair. We were also asked to create a display wedding cake for Harrods of London to put in their windows to commemorate the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Contacted Cake at short notice for my sons birthday. My son has allergies so we had a vegan cake. We sent Greg some images and he came back with a great design. Vegan cakes can be very hit and miss, but this is one of the best we've tasted and was still moist 3 days later. Thank you Greg for all of your help!
We ordered a cake for a birthday, complete with a figurine of the birthday boy. The face was a brilliant likeness and we all had a big giggle about it. Presentation and flavour (carrot cake) was utterly brilliant and it really made the day. Would unreservedly recommend
